The iPhone 7 is officially for sale and we're guessing you are pretty curious about those wireless headphones! If you are planning on purchasing the new device, chances are you are trying to sell your old model. Thankfully, Yahoo has a few great tips on how to get the best price for your old iPhone and avoid falling for a scam.
- Sell it Directly: If you are trying to sell your old phone to another person directly, be sure to use well-known online classifieds like Craigslist and eBay. The great thing about these sites is that they allow you to set your asking price instead of offering you a certain amount. Yahoo also recommends a site called Swappa, which is "a dedicated mobile device marketplace."
- Swap it for Credit: Trading in your iPhone for store credit is a quick and easy way to decrease the cost of your new iPhone. Unlike selling your phone online, trading it in to retailer eliminates the risk of encountering a scammer. Retailers such as Amazon, Apple, Walmart, Verizon and Best Buy will determine your credit amount based on your iPhone's age and condition.
- Sell it to a Company: Selling your old phone to an online company is a great way to sell your iPhone for cash without having to wait for offers. Yahoo states that most online services require you to provide information about your phone's condition and will then make you an offer. They recommend using services like Gazelle, Glyde, uSell and Blazing Electronics.
